Help!!

I have just scanned some 35mm negatives with my Minolta Scan Dual IV, whatever setting I put it on they all come out with thin vertical lines on them.

Any idea's folks??

you might get more answers if this was in the Film and Conventional section... maybe a Mod could move it for you?

Any chance of sticking some of the offening negs up?

Other than that:
Scratchs
Black and White negs scanned with Digi ICE on
Kodachromes

What settings were you using?

Thanks Big Yin.

Knikki, they were mono negs, I've checked the negs, no marks or lines on them. I also tried various settings on the scanner.

I was wondering if it could be a USB problem??

How do I had a photo to the forum?

Thanks for replying.

Keith - no problem - to be honest, I don't know anything about the scanner, but I rememberd that a few people on here had something similar, so probably would be able to help.

Sounds like a stepper motor problem. That will produce thin lines, Most probably your scanners up the shoot and slipping on the stepper belt, try re-scanning at a different Resolution and keep your fingers crossed it re-sets itself.

Software was at fault the last time we had lines through scans.
And the time before that it was.......software..

:)
