Old Part of St Annes Pier Head, originally this was about 50-60 feet tall when first constructed. Since then, beside the usual metal corrosion and wood rot, over 50ft depth of sand has been deposited resulting in the top 10ft being visible.

I've definitely shot this truck before now (may even have shared it here) but as I take a pic pretty much every time I go past it, here it is again from this year. Would love to see it pulled out and running.

Over time, tough bituminous material slowly forms stalactites as it drips out of drain vents in a steel bridge.
