Film in Boots

I've ordered B&W film from Boots quite a few times and picked it up at our local store, so no postage costs. £9.99 for HP5 , same price for 120. Isn't that cheap?

I went into Boots this lunchtime and saw they had some film for sale. It's the first time I've seen them have any on the shelves for several years

It wasn't cheap, but they had various B&W and colour stocks in 135 and 120 format.

Good to hear. When C41 was in short supply (3 or 4? years ago) I got 3 rolls of 35mm from one of their larger shops. It wasn't particularly cheap but for small quantities it wasn't too bad taking into account postal charges from online sellers. Yes, I usually do a big online order to bring down the total price per roll but in a pinch it's great to know I can nip somewhere local for an "emergency" roll.

It used to be great when they did their long running Buy One Get One Half Price offer. I used to save up my Boots points until I had enough for two rolls. It's also worth asking whether they really want to charge full price if you happen to find expired rolls; I've had some great bargains that way (although I haven't seen an expired roll for years, makes me think there must be more film photographers round here than I know of!).

Our local Boots (quite small, but not very small) has had film available almost all of the time for as long as I can remember. It's a bit hidden away.
