File - Save in Elements to Lightroom

Hi All,
I may be having a blonde moment here but all the video tutorials I have watched say that if I move from Lightroom to Elements and then back to Lightroom all I have to do is click "File" and then "Save". This should bring me back to Lightroom automatically. However, when I do this is comes up with the "Save As" dialogue box and I have to click save again. What am I missing?
I am running LR4 and Elements 9 if that makes a difference.

When I've moved a file from LR to Elements by selecting 'edit in -> photoshop elements' from the LR menu, I've always found that once complete in Elements the worked on file appears in LR automatically as a 2nd TIFF version of the original image. It's something I've only dabbled with in the last couple of weeks and I've never been happy enough with my Elements edits so I hadn't saved any but the copy always appears in my LR catalogue
 
So am I right in reading that you didn't hit save at any point in Elements? What about when closing the programme? I'll have another go tonight and see if that works.
