Unfortunately I have just experienced a problem with ffords. I placed an order last weekend for a new lens and recevveid a conformation e-mail that they had accepted the order. On Monday I received another e-mail confirming that order status had been changed to sale. Naively I assumed I would now get my lens in a few days. I have heard nothing from them so I called them today.
They have just told me that the lens is not in stock and is on backorder. Ok, I have no problem with this if they had told me on Monday, but I have been left under the assumption that a sale had been made (deducted £ from my account), which in my mind is the sale of stock.
I am now waiting for the buyer to come back to me to see when they can get them back in. But, I think what I am going to have to do is cancel my order and get it from a local retailer at a slightly higher price as I need it sooner than I expect they can delivery.
Ah, well, these things happen, just a little annoying really. I just wish they had told me that it was ok of stock and on back order, rather than wait for me to call 4 days later.
