What are you watching right now? Or what do you recommend that is showing on TV over the Christmas and new year period?

We've got Muppets Christmas Carol on (ch4/4hd now) :D

The best Christmas show ever was on a few days ago. The Bleak Old Shop Of Stuff (Christmas special) with Robert Webb, Stephen Fry, David Mitchell and Johnny Vegas.

Robert Webb is excellent. His facial expressions are so good, he doesn't really need to speak!

And Stephen Fry's lawyer character is the finest role I have ever seen him play.

I'm also looking forward to seeing Harry Hill as Professor Branestawm later this evening.

Steve.

Probably Top Gear for me on the 29th I think ?

Other than that it will be down to the kids.:(

I'm looking forward to the 2nd captain America Boxing Day!

Ooh yeah and top gear too :D

Home Alone
Home Alone 2
Scrooge (Alastair Sim)
It's a Wonderful Life
White Christmas
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
The Polar Express
Miracle on 34th Street (Edmund Gwenn)
Gremlins

When you posted I was watching "The Road" it's a bleak apocalyptic tale starring me and a whole bunch of weekend driver numpties who really shouldn't be out after dark, let alone into a supermarket car park! :)

Later I shall probably watch Skyfall.

The family hide the remote from me at Christmas......we only have two kids left at home and both are in there late twenties and they have just put toy story 3 on

We watched the grinch this afternoon, that's a Xmas must!

Don't have television in this country, but my daughter has sent me The Bang Bang Club DVD. May have to negotiate a visit to my sister in law to watch it!

Scrooged is the best Christmas film ever. And Die Hard. And even though it's a Thanksgiving film, Planes, Trains and Automobiles is pretty much essential viewing this time of year.

You know that was one movie I had never seen and my wife bought the video for us all to watch - sorry to be a grinch but I thought it was terrible, I had to leave the room one of the worst movies I have ever seen

I watched the snowman today and we are taping Skyfall tonight (Katie's at work)

Yeah It was something I wanted to like if you know what I mean with people mentioning it etc - but sadly not for me BUT my kids seem to enjoy it so all is good

I was annoyed today I misses Wallace & Gromit - love those movies

Elf, we have it on the Sky planner ready to watch anytime.
And Top Gear.

Bad Santa

Scrooge (1951 I think version)

Love actually

Home alone

Sharknado it is so bad that it is good. Wife and children are at church and I'm spooned up with my big boy

It's is odd , but that's how it's meant to be

A few years ago we were at universal studios in Orlando at Christmas

There was a grinch show, all the actors were made up as good as the film

10 minutes before the show started we were walking through the park when the grinch approached made up as good as Jim Carey , looked just like him.

My wife got really excited, got the camera out and said " can I have a picture"

He gave her that twisted face look and said " no but you can have this" he then did a 5 second burp, turned and walked off.

She looked at me open mouthed and said, did you see what he did.

I had tears running down my face, it was fantastic

I said what did you expect, he's the grinch

Our Christmas film is Elf
