Yes
I have started using this monitor with my Nikon D3500 camera but the monitor does not allow the camera shutter to work to take pictures when the hdmi cable is connected. I can only review photos on the monitor (using the camera menu) that were taken when the hdmi cable was not in place. The monitor menu does not have any setting that would seem to impact the problem,
The hdmi 'device control' & 'output resolution' settings in the camera setup menu have been set.

Do you have any thoughts on why the the camera viewfinder indicates a camera error & the shutter is disabled. Is it likely that a non cable problem is causing the issue?

Thanks for any help.

AI Copilot says

'The Feelworld F6 monitor is generally not compatible with the Nikon D3500 camera. Users have reported issues such as the monitor displaying “no signal” when connected to the D35001. Additionally, some users have found that the camera’s shutter does not work when the HDMI cable is connected2.

If you’re looking for a compatible external monitor for your Nikon D3500, you might want to consider other options or check for specific compatibility features like HDMI output settings and supported resolutions.

Is there a particular feature or use case you’re aiming for with an external monitor? Maybe I can help you find a suitable alternative!

To late now to return it under warranty!'

AI now tells me there are in fact three other brands (four monitors) that are compatible. Good old AI. I wish AI had been widely available when I bought this unit.
