What shops do you love , For its selection of second hand stock etc and quality of staff? I have started to notice some can beat Ebay private sales !

I have 2 places that will have my money

1. Aperture: Without a doubt a friendly place with great prices. Good place to sit and chat (Food and coffee served !)
2. Jacobs (New oxford street) For the masses this is a great shop and always great staff.

Have not really bothered to find more !

Quite like Jacobs on Cannon Street; a helpful bunch of guys

I quite like that Jacobs on New Oxford St. Haven't been to Aperture yet, where is it?
Oh and Grays as mentioned! Really good stuff.

It's funny, I work just round the corner and walk past it every day. I find the staff quite surly at times, especially if they think you don't know what you're talking about.

I also find them very pricey. Or is it just me?

Chiswick Camera Centre for me. On my doorstep at work and very friendly and helpful. Also very good value when I bought my D90, as cheap as online.

The one thing I haven't got from them was my Sigma 24-70 which is now broken. Sods law.

Museum Street , Just around the corner from Jessops and Jacobs.

Can't fault the guys from Jacobs on Broadway, near Scotland Yard. Always willing to offer help and advice, I seem to spend more time in there than I do at the office :P

Camera World just off Oxford Street is great, I've bought 2 lenses from there which they have either reserved or ordered in for me, best in-store prices I could find at the time and friendly staff to boot!

Second vote for Camera World. I can't fault them on their service.

If you are near Romford, Essex it as to be T&B photographic very helpful and friendly people. Also for a one of shop there prices aint to bad,Dennis the owner will always try and match warehouse express and you get that personal touch.Give them a try.

Grays of Westminster is a must for Nikon Not the cheapest but fantastic service and they have pretty much what ever you want or did realize you wanted until you go in.

Popped into Jacobs today and picked up a filter for a good price. Their new lens prices seemed a lot cheaper than the shop across the road. Didn't get to Aperture though but will make a point of doing so next time I am on New Oxford St
