Currently I'm studying for an Art Foundation Degree at Winstanley College and next term we'll be starting our own work. My chosen disaplin is Photography (of course) and I need to build a portfolio based on fashion photography.

Now the question to the experts is what is the processes in planning do I need to go through? The right models for the High-End look, clothing and locations?

I have my ideas of how to go about it, I just wondering from the professional prespective
 
yep, models, location and studio. Plus see if another local fashion college has a fashion show you can photograph. Also have a look at some fashion mags.
 
get a stylist to sort out outfits that makes the biggest difference in the world

doesn't need to be a proper stylist, I've used fashion students and the like, some models have no flair and sometimes you have no flair, when both happen it can pull down the quality of the shots
