Farewell Seve

yep, a sad day for golf..........a truly fantastic golfer, loved his cavalier attitude on the golf course (hit it hard, go find it and hit it hard, again.)

Let's hope he's sinking a cold one in the 19th !

And thirded from me... A real legend, and it's not a term that should be used lightly.

A true true sporting great. RIP Seve.

As already said he will be sorely missed.

He put European golf on the map and inspired thousands of youngsters to take up the game and many more to go along and watch 'The Master' at work.

RIP Seve and thanks for the memories.

Sorry Marc i didn't see this thread.

a sad sad sad day for golf and humanity- Seve brought so much and was loved by all- it was so sad he didnt get to play again and entertain us all regardless of his score, the good die young- can't believe he's not around anymore

I had the very good fortune to meet with and talk to Seve when I won a prize to go with the Ryder Cup team to Muirfield Village on Concorde in 1987.

He was charismatic, charming, friendly and had a special aura about him. Very softly spoken and took time to be interested in a Joe Public like me.

I met him at the victory party afterwards and he was very very drunk with the biggest smile ever on his face all evening. Immense talent and a giant amongst sportsmen.

Memories that will live with me forever. RIP Seve and thanks for all the memories
