Famous People - Who have you photographed

Just interested to know which "Famous" people you have had the opportunity to photographer.

For me is the following;

Daddy Cool (Band)
Eddie McGuire
Gary Sweet
Jack and Larrry Perkins
John So (Melbourne Lord Mayor)
Missy Higgins
Sam Neil
Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter)
Heath Ledger
Cate Blanchett

Looking forward to hearing who other people have photographed
 
Do you mean in an official capacity or just as an opportunity...?

I have photographs of Hayley Osment shaking hands with my daughter, Rob Lowe shaking hands with my daughter, Daniel Lewis hugging my daughter, Chris Evans waving to me, plus a few more somewhere... oh and that Irish fella (off the 118 118 ads) also shaking hands with my daughter.

That the sort of thing you mean?
 
Just did Jaqui Smith the new Home Secretary who was at a local event, she is the MP for the Town where we live and was at a charity event.

I was there covering the charity event for the organisers (Cancer UK-no charge from me for this one) so was able to get a few of her posing for me.

She is often in our local free newspapers with not so flattering pictures of her, I was pleased with the ones I so I sent one of them to the rags to update their stock photos of her and I emailed one to her at parliament.

Few days later I received a nice email back thanking me and saying how nice the shot was, week after she was appointed as Home Secretary.

Friends in high places now, that could be useful in the future.....:thumbs:
 
The most obvious that comes to mind is Boy George ... before he was famous and when we frequented the same clubs
(reminds me, I need to get my negs off to Hoodi).

And more recently I snapped Dietmar Hamann.. though he wasnt aware of our little 'session' ;)
 
I suppose it depends on the context of the original question. I've got plenty of most of the biggest names in motorsport over the years from regular trips to the Festival of Speed but I'm not sure if that counts, it's kinda like shooting fish in barrel.

Other than that I've got a few of Dannii Minogue, Jay Kay and Bruce Dickinson (albeit landing his plane at RIAT this year)

This was the boy who marched up to Her Majesty during a walkabout in Brighton last summer & demanded a flower. It appeared in several national papers - just not the one taken by me, although the angle & moment in time were identical!

Great capture! I wanna do something like that sometime :lol:
 
I took it whilst en route but early to a business meeting - wondered what was with all the Police so followed the herd!
Lesson - always carry the camera!!! I do now whenever I'm in London - you just never know!!!
 
Depending on who you class as "famous", I met Randy Mamola once out at Daytona Bike Week 2003. My photos of him with my wife & friend didn't turn out so good :bang:

And another for all the rockers out there, I met with, left to right, Pontus Norgren, Jeff Scott Soto and Marcel Jacob. As everyone knows JSS was recently the vocalist with Journey, and also was in Talisman with Marcel.

Took a few snaps of Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) whilst he parked his light aircraft at Fairford the other week. Top Bloke.

Lots of motorsport people , Rossi toseland mario andretti etc, Deep Purple, Def Leppard, Kelly Lorrena, Fish (from Marillion) Sharon Osbourne, Danni Minogue, Simon Cowell, Prince Charles, Naseem Hamid, Margaret Thatcher, to name a few!!!!!

Wish I could! Unfortunately, a lot of celebs in the US (local celebs included) bring in lawyers to negotiate every little thing before a single frame is fired. In one case, simply disclosing the NAME of the client (let alone the images) earns me a $5K penalty.

I found a wad of prints in the loft the other day of Thin Lizzy in concert, when I was about 13 I guess, somewhere I have a lot of gig pictures from that era.
Ones that I can lay my hands on online are restricted pretty much to stars of motorsport. I've got paddock shots of Johnny Herbert, Tony Jardine, Tiffany Dell, Partick Tambay, Markko Martin, Paddy Hopkirk.......

Mainly Motor racing people, loads of famous people in cars, Button, Alonso, Coulthard, etc...but actual candids include the older stars, Brabham [Sir Jack and son David] Moss, Ickx, Elford, Stewart, Bell as well as more modern names, Troy [Bayliss and corser], the junior Mansells, Murray Walker, Tony Jardine, Tom Christian, Ralf Scumacher, Mark Gene, Juan Pablo Montoya [that was a good one, stood right next to him in Silverstone paddock at a time when I adored him, will post it when I have chance to dig out the CD its now stored on] Carl Fogerty, and so on.



Oh, I did once snap from some distance away [as didnt want to intrude when he was with family and actualy sat next to us] Ewan McGregor on Hampstead Heath - had seen him earlier walking with friends and family, then later they came and sat next to us at the cafe at Kenwood house, but moved away to get a quick snap of him without his kids in the shot. If I can find the pic, will put it up, again its stored on a cd.

Good thread for wasting a few more minutes today .... Dalai Lama, Bill Bryson, Paul O'Grady, Antony Gormley, Johnny Ball, Cherie Blair, Lech Walesa.
 
I've photographed 1 or 2 recently. most are people that think they are someone:
Hayley Westenra, Liz Fuller, Alicia Douvall, Brendon Cole, Corine Nayler, Lee Otway, Naomi Millbank Smith (from shipwrecked), Shadnan (Big Brother), Nikki Grahame (Big Brother), Melinda Messenger, Richard Bacon, John Barrowman, Connie Fisher, Catherine Jenkins. Most of these in an official capacity of sorts. I've also got Bruce Willis and Kate Beckinsale, and others.
Also Jet Harris from the shadows, and John Leyton from The great escape, von ryans express and no 1 hit with Johnny remember me. Picture is of John Leyton.
