Family photo sharing

So the dilemma is that most of the family have apple devices, and we happily share photos using iPhoto

But it’s not great for sharing content shot on a proper camera, and we have people who don’t use apple devices.

What I’d like is a secure folder I can share pics with everyone in the family, easy to upload to without syncing an entire library. I don’t need Fort Knox standard security, but I don’t want it public.

Any suggestions?

Another vote for Google. You can share it with google friends or via email or a link and you can see who the album is shared with.

We use Apple Photos, but for anything from Lightroom, I sync to Lightroom mobile, from where it is easy to share to Apple Photos. I would prefer to be able to share to Apple Photos straight from Lightroom on my Mac though.
