I think I found the perfect autumn photo location, sadly 2 weeks too late. I am not pretending these are any good, just highlighting the beauty of the place for the next year. It appears to be very under-represented on the internet. It is also very suitable for aerial photography as long as you can avoid the trees.

This is just by the mill, and different angles are possible to include the building if you go back downstream

If you follow the trail upstream you get to see this and much more. There is some vegetation obscuring the bottom view, but it could be dealt with. Or a quad-copter footage would be just spectacular. My guess is morning would be best.

If I am here next year this is high on my to do list.

Its a difficult place to get a decent composition for as here always seems to be trees in the way or high vegetation.Sometimes these are good a pic but its frustrating when you find a scene and its obscured or you cant get to the area you want.Stunning place though.

Indeed you are right. The place the above is taken is fairly alright with much taller tripod or a pole. There is another clean spot up the stream on the other side. I am pretty sure I would have pushed it harder if it was still worth it.

It's a nice place, never been with a camera. IIRC the flow is controlled by the water board, on a couple of days a year they release enough water to make the falls flow properly, maybe you were lucky, or perhaps there's so much water above they're letting it out all the time now?
