Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help / shed some light on this little gremlin of a problem.

I run a London Photo blog, which currently has a few followers/likers - its a bit of a "hobby" as a way of somewhere to show my images. As such I'm happy to stick a few quid towards advertising to help it grow - not huge money, pocket money in the scheme of things.

The issue I have is, the ads do sort of work, in the sense that additional people follow & like the page, but the advert also seems to go out to my current set of followers - which seems like wasted money!
I can see anything in the setup to "ignore current followers".....

Am I missing something? Have any of you had the same issue ?

Hi Ben,

Are you selecting a "target audience" as there's quite a few criteria you can use to determine who the add reaches, including excluding current followers

Thanks Simon,

I've had a look via the Ad Manager - I can find the "exclude" option, but it requires keywords - there doesn't appear to be a way to specifically exclude my current followers.

Usually, I set up the page advert from the business page, which doesnt offer half of the Ad Manager - so that is probably part 1 of the problem!

Just need to find out how to exclude my followers specifically vs keywords
