Going to the Belgian Grand Prix this weekend with the Bronze tickets, cannot wait. :runaway:Hopefully Lewis can grab a win!!

I've never been to Spa before so the plan is to walk the track on Saturday and then pick a spot to watch the race from on Sunday.. Can't make it on Friday as that's when we're travelling.

For Sunday I was thinking about watching the race from as close to the Bus Stop chicane as possible, not only because it should be a good overtaking spot but because I'd like to get onto the track after the race and watch the podium celebrations.

Does anybody have any tips on any good vantage points around the track to shoot from? I'd quite like to shoot a mix of low down and front on shots whilst being mindful of the fences... Having only ever shot F1 at Silverstone, it'd be nice to capture a bit of scenery behind the cars etc.

I'll mostly be shooting with my D7100, Sigma 70-200 OS & 1.4 TC combo.

I think with a general admission ticket you can get better ambiance shots rather than front on shots as you will have fences pretty much everywhere around the track, as I think on saturday you will be only allowed to the grandstand you paid for

This was taken from the public path beside the old pit straight.

Thanks James, I like your first shot, really demonstrates the gradient of Raidillon & the second is a great shot. Was it taken from the general admission areas or is it from the grandstand as the car looks like it's exiting bus stop?

So I'll have a try shooting through the fences at f2.8 for anything front on....

Any other advice for the venue?
