Well done Jenson :clap::clap::clap:

2nd consecutive pole :D I was holding my breath when Trulli came round the last corner though! Tomorrows race should be another cracker.

:agree: It's great to see Jenson finally getting rewarded for his years of loyalty to Honda, now Brawn GP:)

Indeed its good to see Jenson getting up there - deserves it for the loyalty he shows.

Anyone know what that button was that Barrichello pressed about 35 seconds before the chequered flag in the final session? He just came out of a corner and took his left hand off the wheel and put it down towards a grey button near his left knee - almost like its a KERS button but Brawn aren't equipped with KERS.

Regards, James

It was probably a brake bias adjustment :)

Possibly - but I thought them dials are on the steering wheel, anyone know if the Brawn car is equipped with moving aerodynamic pieces? I guess if he was turning onto a long straight he could have adjusted the aero to give him less downforce/more speed.

Regards, James

whilst obviously pleased for everyone i was most pleased for trulli, he was beaming as soon as he got out of the car and i dont think ive seen him like that for a while!

I think this season is going to be the best yet. You could always tell how frustrated Jenson was but now things are starting to look really really good for him this season.

Could have been the radio, drink, moving the front wing, adjusting the brake bias, changing engine map, etc, etc. Button drove well once again in what seems to be a very rapid car. Ferrari properly dropped the ball with Massa, 16th is much less than he was capable of this morning.

The race should be interesting. I think Raikkonen has a lot of fuel on board, and there is the quite strong possibility of a massive thunderstorm at some point during the race.

 Yeh fair play to Jarno, cheshire cat sprang to mind :D you also have to hand it to Sebastian Vettel as well. I know its all on the day but I would still not rule out Lewis for a podium either, we will see
I remember when Jenson came down the Lan Arena where I used to work, he wasnt so clever when he had a go on Jeff Crammonds formula one :lol::lol:

vettel was very light on fuel by the looks of it, i guess he just wanted to get as high up the grid as possible. brawns were both quite heavy as were the BMWs.

i dont think we will see so many crashes etc as we did in oz due to run off areas etc which might reduce the chance of someone like hamilton springing a suprise.

geoff cramonds grand prix games were fairly unrealistic very arcadey, should have got him on grandprix legends, that seperates the men from the boys!

Arcady it might have been at the time but the physics were good. Each time there was a Grand Prix on , about ten of us would spend the night before having a few beers and race the same track as the Grand Prix. In the evening we would do hot seat swapping so everyone had a short beer or smoke break whilst the computer took over your car. GP legends :thumbs:
Touchy!! Touchy!! Feely!! Feely!!:lol: Oh yes very responsive :woot::woot:

Why don't Brawn employ a KERS system - I thought that was a gimme for competitive teams this season??

It's got its advantages and its disadvantages. They may use one later in the season or next year, who knows.

Lewis who?? Go for it JB! Hope this is how the season is to continue.

im very pleased for Button, but the whole leaving Williams thing must have weighed heavy on his mind for him to be quite as loyal to honda as is he!

ive heard that brawn probably wont run kers this year, when honda anounced their withdrawl i think they stopped development on the KERS System due to its cost. so the chances of them running the system with such a delayed development are unlikely given that half the teams that have been developing it all winter are also not running it.

didnt look like kimi was running it in qually either (probably after the smoke machine it turned into in practice!)

it took me over a year to get used to driving it and quick enough, what a truely awesome game, its difficulty (and suposed realism) was its downfall as people just gave up on trrying to master it!

On the note of f1 games, anyone play rFactor? Theres a F12009 mod out which is pretty cool - no idea if its realistic or not as Ive never driven the real things :p

He was running KERS, Ferrari repaired it and Stefano Domenicali confirmed he would be running KERS in Qualifying. Didn't help him on those wets on a dry track though! :p

Thats true, pity really. For a bit of fun though you couldnt beat Toca, with about ten of you racing heaad to head. Lister storm around Oulton International track was one of my fave`s.

Oh dear that joke is outta the ark.
