I have been looking around for some help on getting extended battery life, As the Laptop I have just runs on about 1 hour of battery before it die's, Which is proofing very costly sometimes with my work and getting images in on time, I have been on Google alot and come across some external battery chargers on ebay and this one looks quite promising (Link below) Has anyone had any experiences with external chargers like this they can recommend?

How much would a second (or 3rd) battery cost? Might be a better investment. Have you also investigated power saving strategies to make the laptop last a bit longer?

The Battery according to Toshiba's specs can last upto 3:10 and iam getting 1 hour MAX with the screen on the lowest brightness wifi is on and running Photoshop CS4 along with Filezilla, I have the sound off and never other spec turned off or down that I do not use to save power, I will have to look into replacing the battery.

higher CPU usage = lower battery life. if youre doing a lot of processing on battery power you'll be draining the juice (also your CPU may be throttled back on battery power).

If you can turn off wifi that will help too.

As he's using filezilla to (presumably) FTP files across, it appears to be an unfortunate necessity.

Joe, when you're using the laptop are you completely away from power, or do you have access to a vehicle (not your own obviously if you're a Junior member)?

Most of the times I can use the TOG room at the clubs but there is a few occasions that I need to use power all match, Thanks for the link to power supply, I will have to look further Into these portable battery chargers or a new laptop altogether in the near future...
