Extension tube question re dx lens

Wide angle lens are considered a good choice with ext tubes for macro but I’m confused regarding dx length with a tube.

So my question is, a dx 35mm Gives approx 52mm but does the ext tube (give results or (“see it”) as if it was a 35mm or a 52mm?

If you put a 35mm tube behind a 35mm lens then you would get 1:1 on full-frame. If you then crop it by putting the combo on a DX camera, you would feel you had a higher magnification. It's an area that I prefer not to think about too much and just look at the results.
