Exif data on convert to JPEG

Hi guys, wonder if anyone can point me in the right direction?

I have taken to shooting RAW in the last few months, but have a problem when converting to JPEG.

When I use the DPP's convert option I lose some exif data. Everything is there in the RAW pic. Also everything is there if I shoot in JPEG, but if I convert in DPP from RAW to JPEG a fair amount of exif data is lost.

Is there a way around this?

It's the application that isn't doing it.

I convert RAW to JPEG using Photoshop CS4 and it's fine...

What data is missing ?

I just did a convert and all the exif data looks to be there using PhotoME to read the exif.

Thanks for the reply guys. OK this is from within DPP. Notably the Lens, metering mode, all parameters, owners name, body number seem to be missing.

What software are you using to read the exif data from the jpeg, as if you look at my example above it's all in the jpeg.

I'm using DPP version 3.5.2.0 and when I right click on the jpeg and select INFO at the bottom of the pop-up menu I get the following information.

I have no dust delete on my 30D and so would not expect that, but I have don't see anything about GPS data at all.

Unfortunately I can't help as to why your losing some info and I'm not

Is that converting from CR2 to JPEG?

If I shoot in JPEG or RAW then I get all the info, its just when converting.

Yes mine is shot in RAW CR2 then converted to JPEG with DPP.

Why not post a JPEG then we can see if we can read the EXIF to see if your DPP is stripping it out or just not showing it to you
