In case anyone here is looking for an upgrade soon, I recently took a punt on this: https://www.windowscentral.com/chuwi-lapbook-12-review
Can thoroughly recommend it if you want something to view photos, movies and other general light usage, the display is superb! And for me, is even set apart from other top laptop displays (which are far more expensive) by being matte so no distracting reflections.

Other general impressions:
Lightweight and silent, good build quality (all metal with no flex).
Battery life seems to be about 5 hours but I run it at 100% brightness so could probably run another hour or two.
Internal storage is small (64GB) and not particularly fast but it does the job, you get an easy access panel at the bottom to add an M.2 storage (so can then increase to a fast 512GB if you so wish), this I feel all manufacturers should start doing!
Came with a clean activated windows 10 home, all works ok for me.
Web browsing, picture viewing, movie watching, v light photo editing is fine, heavier photoshop work or the like and it will slow - use something with more beef for this.
Cheap!! £240ish from your favourite chinese reseller!!

One other downside is of course it could decide to fall apart and I'm pretty much out of luck as I doubt any warranty would be worth anything here, but for me it's cheap enough and so far I'm loving it!
