I found this BBC Online story China: Peeking into the private lives of livestreamers an interesting one, not so much about the increase in livestreaming as such but the photography project that has been used to illustrate it.
Imagine laying out all of your possessions and having a photo taken with them, what would it say about each of us (apart from being greedy western "gweilos"

Though if the Chinese people don't buy more stuff they won't be meeting with President Xi's aim of the economy growing by homegrown demand!

I'd love to go to China. The pictures reminded me of a street seller I saw in Thailand selling roast chicken and women's shoes. I always wondered how he came up with that combination. He had them all in a huge display case on the back of his trike.
