Every little helps!?! Tesco Broadband? Pah! *update*

Sorry to hear it is still not there.
I doubt that it'll ever arrive TBH Jp.
pretty discussing IMO, considering MK is supposed to be a centre of IT excellence.
I guess living right on the western edge of MK they must have run out of "cable" before they got here

I've been norty, very very norty,
so norty in fact, I'll be buying my own presents (again) this year,
But it was worth it :D

I've not been naughty but I still have to buy my own presents

Well it seems the fat man in the red suit thinks so in that case :D

I forgot about this thread. :$

I gave up in the end. Very long story short; My order kept getting cancelled without reason.
It turns out it's actually been BT/Openreach who kept cancelling the TT order!
They have had high interest/uptake apparently & they are working on extra supply.

BT are limiting other ISP's in order to gain customers. (n) (which I thought might be illegal?)

The reason I suspect this is, it was our local council advertising fibre connections in our area about a year ago that got me interested.
6 months ago I rang BT & they said the box was in the process of being connected. A few weeks later (after seeing them finish working on it) I rang BT again for a price comparison, but decided to stay with TT, who said yes, I could get fibre.

What makes it worse is, BT have since been in touch offering me fibre! (b'sturds! :punch: )

some kind of monopolies issue there I would have thought? So yes if that's what they are doing then norty at the very least.

LOL at least you got it in the end

I keep getting stuff through the door ( from BT) offering me some outrageous speeds and all for peanuts,
when I phone them up to take them up on the offer, "Oh no sorry its imminent, but not actually active today,
but we can put you on our "normal" BB package and give you preferential rates and service, once fibre is in your cabinet.
Yep that's great, but when will that be exactly ?

And of course more hard sell follows, but no answer .... "click"
:D

I haven't got fibre, (yet) but at least I know the reason.

I think that's how they are getting round any `monopolies` issues. They can hold back rival ISP's by saying they aint ready yet, BUT if you/me signed up on normal BB with them, they will VERY quickly offer the fibre upgrade. :sneaky:
It's virtually what they said to me on the phone, but since me mentioning the possibility of them using such underhand tactics, they haven't been in touch since! Funny that. :bat:

I understand what you are saying, but Its not even to the ( my) cabinet yet, so I'm not sure that'd work for me.

Mmmmmmm, maybe, maybe not. Might be worth `registering` your interest though. ;)
