Back when I did Electronics as a GCSE, we knew all the resistances by heart.

I couldn't resist having a go, even though I had little clue about it (the only electrical work I can manage is fitting a 3-pin plug to a cable).

I guess a few know what a reisitor is,but would they know what the rated ohm of an individual one is?I for sure wouldnt. I suppose I could give a scenario where someone has a piece of kit which is kaput,on inspection they notice that a reisitor has popped and would like to try their hand at soldering a new one in place.But then more as like you would find cause to argue the toss about that,also where does the confusion come into it?
