Hi folks, so I've recently got a D750 as a present from a loved one and I'm now in need of some new lenses, I already own a D7000 and have a nice little collection of lenses but alas only the macro and a couple of the long telephotos work with the D750, So I am after a new lens for indoor events I go to a lot of comic cons and shows in various exhibitions as theres always something interesting there, light can be a little crap at times and they get pretty busy so space can be an issue, I had been using a Nikon 35mm 1.8 and a Nikon 17-55 2.8 for them and most of the time they worked well enough. But I'm not sure what I should get for this I have a budget of £800 ish maybe more if the missus doesn't notice, I've been looking at these Tamron SP 24-70mm F2.8 Di VC USD, Sigma 35mm 1.4 art or is there something else I should look for? Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I shoot a lot of conferences for work and while a 24-70 f2.8 is useful, I find a 70-200 f2.8 is a better option if you want to capture faces in the crowd or speakers on stage. There's more opportunity for out of focus effects with a longer lens but it will depend what your style is. If you do want a 24-70 the Tamron f2.8 would be in budget and it's an excellent lens

Ty for the replies, I'd never really looked into the Nikon 24-70 as I figured even scone hand it would it be out of my grasp, I'll have a look over the weekend and see what I can turn up.
