Hi Everyone, a small introduction,
I'm Phill, 58ish male from Buckinghamshire {near Aylesbury}. New here, just joined today and looking forward to perusing the forums tonight whilst on a night shift.
I'm not all that new to photography but struggle to make the available time to pursue the hobby and as such still consider myself very much a beginner.
I got my first DSLR just before lockdown, a Nikon D3300, then went to a D7200 and a a D750.
Recently I have ventured across to micro 4/3 with an Olympus OM-D EM5 mkii and then an OM1 mkii.
Trying out all kinds of photography, I'm particularly drawn to macro insect photography and urban photography but I will also wander down the canals and through the woods when I can.
I struggle at times to give myself the required push to get off my lardy butt and go and take photos so I'm hoping to get some inspiration and renew my mojo.
Thanks for reading!

Hi Phil and welcome to the forum - it sounds like you've covered a lot of 'equipment ground' over the last 5 years. There's a lot of lovely countryside around where you live, as well as biodiversity. I'll look forward to seeing your pictures.

Hi Phill, And welcome aboard TP, looking forward to hearing from you and maybe seeing some of your images on the various forums. "Enjoy"

Thank you. Yes I have been accused of getting a little carried away with the purchasing of things from time to time. I switched to M4/3 for a few reasons but the main one was physical size of the lenses and weight. Then I found myself with a bit of spare money recently and went a bit mad at Cotswold cameras as it is probably the last time I'll be in a position to splurge like that for a quite a while.

Welcome to the forum Phil, enjoy :)

Hi Phill, welcome to the forum.

I'm quite local to you, just over the border in Bedfordshire. Happy to go for a wander along a canal, or through some woods some time. We can motivate each other.

Hi Boots, thanks for the welcome. That sounds good to me, thank you.
Whereabouts in Beds are you?
