No
So I bought it now from HK supplies on Ebay, a MBD200 grip and two battery's on the 2nd of May.
Got a confirmation email thanking me for my PayPal payment on the 3rd of May.
It's the 26th today, I have an Ebay alert asking me to confirm that we (me and etefore) have mutually agreed to cancel the transaction because I either sent it back or there was some confusion...
Theres no confusion, I bought it and it still isn't here, I've had no contact with etefore since the 3rd of May......what gives ?
Ebay want me to confirm this agreement because etefore are claiming back their seller fees.
etefore have sent no messages no emails no reason why, or that they want to cancel, nothing, I check my Paypal account and find I've been refunded.
Do I say yes, we did come to an arrangement....or what ??

I would tell ebay what happened but say as you have been refunded your no longer interested in the sale and will buy from a more reliable retailer.

Well, I'm not interested in the sale.
I don't want to **** it up for etefore getting their fees back (ebay have too much money as it is) but I don't want to compromise my position by telling porkpies, god knows why I should even care after waiting 4 weeks for nothing, but I do....slightly.
I doubt an email to etefore will be returned, so.....I dunno
edit, the message I need to return to ebay needs a tick in one of two boxes, yes we agreed or no we didn't agree, there is a comment box but I doubt they even read them.

I've had problems with etefore recently where they refunded me for something they hadn't got, then raised a no payment claim as a way of trying to get their listing fees back (I suppose) search here for more on it. I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole now.

I think that's what happened, they didn't have the stock.
Stuff em, took em a month to decide they didn't have it, never bothered to mention it....or anything for that matter, I checked my refund date....its today :shake:
Actually, I've only had 3 dealings with them and 2 of them were buggered up, wrong photomatix wireless trigger (which I had to sell here at loss), the right one:thumbs:, and now this:thumbsdown:

stuff em

Right, the plot thickens :suspect:

So yesterday, I filled out ebays form saying no agreement had been made, and gave details in the additional information box.

I see this morning, I have an item I need to pay for, I haven't bought anything.
It is the same item I bought on the 2nd of May, for which they refunded, only now dated 4th of May, and they now open an unpaid item dispute :bang:

Am I shafted or what, I mean, I'm not gonna pay for this for it never to arrive cos they haven't got any.....wtf

Strange....I got my Phottix Cleon from them a couple of months ago. Great to deal with.

Well, I'll just fill in the latest gaps for those that are interested.
I contacted etefore -

Why don't you contact me directly about this item, I have no idea whats going on.
If there is an arrangement you want to make, thats fine, but you need to tell me what it is before opening disputes.
Now what do you want to do about this item, I don't want to pay for it again, and wait 3 weeks for it not to arrive.
If you want to mutually withdraw, thats fine, but you have to make that deal by contacting your customer, thats me.
regards
John.

reply-

Sorry for that, actually the item is out of stock and we perfer refund to you on 26 May. The Transaction ID is 5577xxxxxxxxxx51D. Pls check it .
Regards
sally

me-

Ok, well you'll have to apply for your seller fee's again, and then I can confirm to ebay that we have agreed to cancel the sale
regards
John.

reply-

please make it simple and just pay the price difference.
regards
ken

???me-

What IS the price difference, the unpaid item dispute shows the same item at the same price.
You don't even have them in stock, why would I pay for something you don't have ?
I'm all for keeping it simple, it was simple 4 weeks ago when I paid for it, if you had told me then it wasn't in stock everything would be cool.
What do you want from me ? I've had 3 items from you, 1 photix wireless trigger which was wrong and I had to sell at a loss, the correct wireless trigger (congratulations), and now this non existent D200 grip.
Stop the bus, I want to get off...

 Open to suggestions on this one, I almost feel like its my fault...somehow :bang:

I thought it was against the Law to sell something they dont have in stock

joxby that's the identical trick they tried on me.

Keep all mails from them, particularly the one where they agree to refund you because it's out of stock, eBay will want to see those including (most importantly) all email header information. Do nothing about paying them, what will happen is that etefore will raise an unpaid item dispute against you, you send proof of refund to ebay and they cancel the dispute and remove the mark from your account. etefore don't get their fees back. It will take time (weeks) but don't worry, you will win.

If you leave them neg feedback make sure you say something like "use xxx seller instead, who are honest, etefore have no face" that will p1ss them off big time. You are lucky now in that etefore cannot leave you negative in retaliation as they did me.

Well depending on the reply, if there is one, I'm not a vindictive person, if they don't **** me off anymore, it'll be grey or nothing at all.
**** happens, all correspondence has been through ebay messaging, dunno if they can read them or not, but its all there.
Blimey, what are we talking about here with seller fees...2 3 4 quid ?, its their own flippin fault anyway....:shake:

Well as long as you still have the message from them about the refund you should be fine. Don't expect eBay to jump when you contact them, they will sort it as I said but you'll get frustrated and disheartened if you expect instant action, they probably deal with hundreds of these complaints at any one time.

Dear johnxby,

we have refunded your money, sorry.

- etefore

still an unpaid item dispute though, I'm just gonna forget about it for the time being....till something happens.....could be a while, like you say.

Dear johnxby,

we have Phottix BP-D200 in ebay.
we make many parts for Nikon.
So the grip is same quality as Nikon.
and price is only 50%.

They sent me a used wireless remote (battery fitted, covered in scratches) and left me rude feedback when I asked for it to be replaced. Eventually got my money back via Paypal.

Quite a few sellers claim to sell stuff made in the same factories as the Nikon stuff, invariably it isn't.......

yeah, they offered me a non Nikon, "but made out of Nikon plastic" grip........same quality, for half the price.

carved with precision out genuine NikonPlastic©.....eh !

anyway, all the flashing lights on Ebay have disappeared, so that's the end of it as far as I'm concerned.

I wonder if that line would work when selling cars?

"Yeah, the Kia Crapito....made out of genuine BMW steel, y'know":D

eBay will write to you to tell you the strike has been removed but don't just trust that it will go in your favour. Get in touch with eBay and tell them it's bull, if you do nothing it will go in etefores' favour.

I thought it was against the Law to sell something they dont have in stock

what hong kong law :help: they'll probably sell it while it's still on the production line

I ordered three Omnibounce flash diffusers from etefore a week ago and then became a bit worried when I read these problem stories. For what it's worth, they turned up today, 8 days after placing the order. At £9.97 including delivery, for the three, they are a bit of a bargain :)

Sorry to those who have been less fortunate.

I don't think they are bad sellers, just bad in this instance.
I think feedback percentages are an accurate way to assess the risk of things going bad, and the more business they do the more peeps will be unhappy even though the ratio stays the same.
They are fairly typical of HK sellers imo, they shift a lot of gear, nobody's perfect, just puts me off buying from HK generally, not just etefore.
To sell something not in stock is a basic error that should not occur, on the highstreet it wouldn't matter, but Ebay auctions and 6000 miles are different.

I had used them before without any hassle, I guess the true test of any seller is how they handle problems though and these guys have fallen down badly.

Etefore did the same with me when I had ordered and paid for a cleon remote trigger - sorry this item is out of stock. - refunded no probs.

About a week later got an email saying they were in stock again - so I reordered and paid. 4 days after that got another email from them - this time stating that the item would be delayed due to a Chinese holiday...... :(

Item eventually arrived two weeks after the second order.

I think Joxby's point about volume sales is valid, however it would be nice to think that they learnt from their mistakes and tried to improve their systems and customer service.
