Hi All,

Just having a look a LR3 and wondering if I can easily convert an image to B&W then erase selective areas to return them to the original colour image ie eyes.

Thanks in advance,
Mike.

this is illegal i'm afraid so as far as i'm aware no you can't

This is only a quick edit, but here's an example showing editing of a raw file in Lightroom, simply using the local adjustment brush to paint in desaturation where needed and erase it where I desaturated in error. With more care it might do what you need.

Thanks for that - i'd hoped I could just convert to B&W and then use the erase bus but it seems that isn't possible.

Using the paint brush gives the same effect, just takes a tad longer.

Can't you just use the saturation sliders?

If you move the sliders for all colours (except for the eye colour) to -100, that should do it.

You might need to clean up the rest of the image a little using adjustment brushes.
