So then - here's the scenario ;)

You have a spare room, it's 15ft x 25ft long, and 14ft tall. It's all white painted and black carpet. Loads of power around too.

Q1: What do you do with it? Portrait studio? Private studio? Bit of fun for you and the family?

Q2: What equipment would you buy? What lights are essential? Triggers? Backdrops and support systems?

:bonk:

Post any pics of your studio setups in here :)

Theres a fab thread on studios at FredMiranda, I'll try and find the link.

With 15ft x25ft you could easily have portrait and something else. How high are the ceilings? Is this a real scenario or a "in theory?"

It's 14ft tall. It's a real scenario with some space we've managed to free up. It's directly next door to our barn-conversion, so could easily knock through to it and have it as a dedicated room you see :)

Not having much studio experience / equipment I thought i'd ask here.

Oh, well goody for you sounds a nice space to have, I don't know what to say, if its really a surplus room then a studio/computer/games/whatever room sounds great.

The space is certainly big enough, for full body shots too id imagine (I haven't much of an idea about studioness but like I said there's a biiiiig thread on FredMiranda and you get a sense of what size room can work and what cant)
