Is anybody here using this printer, I have around 60 A5 portraits to print and am looking for some advice, I currently have a 610cm/24inch roll attached.

The printer is new to me (well second hand) and I am new to printing.

Any advice greatly appreciated

if you have a RIP you can get it to make make multiple copys on one sheet then you'd have to cut them up.

If you use photoshop then you can make a custom sized canvas and then do the same thing print multiple copies on the same sheet.

Hi POAH

It's all new to me so I am a little lost at the moment, couldn't run to the RIP as my budget was already hammered.

I am currently using CS4, had a few problems printing from PS so far, so looking for a little advice if you have the time.

Can you get hold of Mirage Print, the Epson plug in for Photoshop? That is really good at handling multiple images.

Nice one, I'll look it up.

Thanks

Just looked it up, 475 euros :gag:

Doh. It used to be free!

We use the 7880 every day without RIP software and do exactly as POAH said just placing the various images accross a 24inch blank canvas in Photoshop.

There is a little wasteage but that can't be helped.
Just select your printer then the paper type then input paper size in User Defined, press print and away you go.

If you are using Epson paper the profiles will be there so let the printer manage colours, if not install the correct profile and let photoshop manage colours, find the profile in the drop down box and all is done.

Lightroom has a very good print module, better than photoshop for layouts, its very easy to use and layout especially if your using all the same size images.

As the above poster states it's dead easy to do this in Lightroom. Download the trial version and away you go...

Qimage.
Free trial but you will buy it.....
The newer qimage ultimate is well worth the yearly sub if you intend printing as more than hobbiest level.
Whichever version is peanuts compared to RIP's etc and for my money far superior production to lightroom or ps native.
