Does anyone have any experience of these printers and what are your thoughts.

My Dad is interested in one of them but can't decide. Obviously the larger format A2 3800 would be nice but realistically he prob doesn't print past A3+ in size so the 2400 would do but, is the 3800 much better considering i think it is twice the price.

If they are basically the same printer just one will do A2 then is it worth paying the extra?

Thanks Guys

Dont look at it as one is twice the price of the other look at how much ink they both come with and how much it would cost to buy the same amount of ink for the 2400 as the 3800 comes with as standard.

the ink running costs are less with the 3800, A2 as opposed to A3 latest print engine, compatable with all the best rip's available.

their are some very good reviews out there take a look at this one

These guys are renound for quality and honest reviews all they do is strive for the best quality out there.

in my opinion the 3800 is the one to go for.

If he prints a lot, the 3800 will work out cheaper in the long run. The R2400 is a great printer but at £64 to fill it with ink (www.oyyy.co.uk - approx £8 per small cartridge) it's very expensive. The 3800 has much bigger ink cartridges and that helps keep the running costs down.

If he doesn't print too much then I'd say the R2400. i print using my R2400 and Photobox when I have a large print run of small prints or I need larger than A3 (which isn't very often).

Either will be great. if I had the money it would now be the 3800.

Cool i think after chatting with him the 3800 seems the one to have, unless i find anything better of course :)

Thanks guys
