any good iv just purchased one should be here tomorrow .. my first A3 printer.

pretty scared lol gunna have to learn how to set it up and then get it profiled and a CISS for it...

I have one of these, a fantastic printer, great quality prints.

Best on Epsom media. I use the premium glossy as play.com are selling twin packs 50% cheaper than one pack in a shop.

Also if you look around you can get the ink cheap on amazon.
All round amazing printer!

yay hopefully its a huge upgrade from my kodak A4 c310 LOL

I'm very pleased with mine too. Be careful with the papers you use as I've had trouble using Ilford. As Charles said, Epson papers seem to work well. I've got a Fotospeed CISS which is excellent too. My only gripe is that B&W are poor and come out with heavy casts.

I've had mine for about 3 years now and am really pleased with it, takes upto A3+ paper and frequently use 315gsm weight without a problem.
I bought my ciss from Inktec Midlands, Wolverhampton tel 01902 307111 cost about 350 and a full set of 100ml bottles about £20.
I use Ilford Galarie Smooth Gloss, Innova and Canson papers with their icc profiles without a problem
I frequently leave my printer off for upto 4 weeks at a time due to holidays and so far no clogging......thats with dye inks, pigment inks are a different kettle of fish!!

did I reprofile your fotospeed CIS?

I never got round to doing it, I'm afraid. To be honest the Epson canned profiles work fine on the Epson papers I have tried to far, and your old profile for Ilford matt papers is also spot on, even though I have changed ink supplier. I'm still looking for a decent semi-gloss paper (as my otherwise fave Ilford Pearl just doesn't work with this printer/ink combo) so I might come back to you.

I've a box of Fotospeed Lustre too but last time I tried it didn't want to work with this printer. I'll give it another go though as you'd have thought Fotospeed inks would match their papers whatever the printer.

yes (and for the glossy) but neither wanted to work. I'll have another go this afternoon to check I wasn't drunk and/or being stupid the last time I tried.

Lol that's very odd we're they custom or the standard ones you download?

OK, it seems I have both standard and custom profiles for Luster paper. Neither are great and I get a decided purple cast to shadows (esp. the lighter areas). Vince at Fotospeed offered to re-do the profile but I didn't get round to taking him up on the offer either. Given Eposn papers just seem to work I am tempted to stick to those.
