Epson PX730WD

Hi guys

I'm looking for a scanner/printer around the £150 mark. I mainly print B+W 6x4 with white boarders.

Can anyone tell me weather this printer does white boarders?

If not is there anything similar that will? Brand wise I prefer Epson but used to have a Lexmark I really rated too.

Is the Epson good with Windows XP?

Hi Ped,

Not the PX730WD but I have a PX710W which I believe uses the same inks and rendering engine.

I'm not too impressed with it's monochrome performance as it always produces a slight green cast. In all other respects, though, it is an excellent printer.

To get a border you just have to resize the image to smaller than the paper you're using and choose the "centralise" option in the print setup box.

Thanks, yes indeed. I mainly print B+W actually so that's a bit worrying. Perhaps the SELPHY is a better bet as the B+W from that is just superb...
