Sorry if this has come up before, but what do you consider the best A3 printer at present ..... just printer, not copier as I have an Epson printer/copies and HP printer at present.

Thanks for the information, but what about someone who wants to buy a good printer and not become a motor mechanic?

Canon Pixma 9000 mk2 or a 9500 mk2

I have the 9000 and have been blown away by the prints.

I was always an Epson man, I even went to Epson on a training course but the Canon beat them all.

Less messing around with drivers and colour settings.

Straight out of the box, Canon glossy settings, Lidl paper and I haven't even bothered calibrating it.

Jet black, and superb colours.

One thing I thought was that if left it would b****r up like all the Epsons I've had. One month in a warm room and the first one out of the printer was perfect. I couldn't say that about the Epsons I've had.

I now use refillable CityInk express carts and their ink, I get exactly the same results.

epson driver settings are a lot simpler than canon and canon's profiles for their own papers are hard to work out which is which.

Thanks Chris,

worth a look at the Canon and interesting what you say about compatible inks. With Epson, the quality of print with compatable inks was not as good and I therefore maintained Epson inks with the extra cost!

Appreciate your help.

Malcolm

Any more from anyone please ?

I can't see any quality difference between the fotospeed inks in my CIS and the OE epson inks
