Epson 4490 running on mac

Anyone got an epson 4490 running on a mac? I am on OS 10.9.5.

I downloaded the driver but its saying the application can'y be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
 
There should be an override in System Preferences that you can click which is usually called "Open Anyway".
 
skysh4rk - do you still have the driver that you used? As I downloaded the latest one and it won't install.

I have vuescan (used it with V500).

Should I upgrade to Yosemite?

Driver? You mean from Epson?

I don't think I've ever downloaded or installed any drivers from Epson on my Mac that I can recall. I've always just relied on Vuescan to get the scanner working. Have you tried using the scanner with Vuescan?

Edit: I was looking on the Vuescan site and it does say that you need an Epson driver, so I guess I must have installed it at some point. :thinking:

I'll have to look into it.
