Not T.P related but I used to be a member on the eos camera magazine forum , I occasionally look in to see what’s happening but for several weeks now it’s been offline with revised starting dates .. any ideas folks

Apparently they stated that the site suffered a DOS attack which they attributed to originating in some foreign country. However the date for resumption of normal service changed a number of times. Currently it says resumption on the 28th November! but it doesn’t give a year [emoji6]
I suspect that the attack may have caused them bigger problems than they originally thought.
I also wonder if the attack was successful and if so how much data was released. The site would have payment/contact details for anyone who had purchased goods from their online shop or subscribed to the hard copy of their magazine.
If there has been a data breach then they will, by law have to advise the appropriate authorities and I hope anyone whose details have been compromised.
 
I was a member of that forum as well, along with Canon Fodder Forums.
Met a lot of great friends on the forums and got lots of encouragement and tips.
Even met up with a few and still keep in touch with some of them.
