EOS 450D and Raw C2files in Adobe Elements 6

Hello, hope you can help me, My boyfriend has brought me Canon EOS 450D camera. I've taken some pics and chose to shoot in raw. We've tried to download them into Elements 6 but they come up as unreadable, unrecognisable files and I cannot open them. I can open them in the Canon raw software supplied on the disc with the camera but want to use Elements 6 if possible. My boyfriend has a new Mk 3 and that downloads no problem raw c2 files into Elements 6. We took some jpgs on my camera too and they download without problem too so it seems it's something to do with adobe and raw c2 and my 450D. Any help would be very much appreciated :thinking:
 
Hi you need the latest Adobe Raw Convertor that PSE6 uses.

To download and install follow the instructions here.

Realised I should have called it CR2 not CS2, it's the stress of computers, I'm cracking up!
 
Oh dear, have downloaded the new update and re-started computer but it's still not downloading the raw cr2 pics and says it does not recognise the file name:help:

Did you follow the instructions? You have to download the file and manually update according to the instructions for Elements 6 a bit further down the page. I don't think you need to restart the computer.
