Eos 450d and 8gb cards?

Does anybody know if the 450d supports 8gb (or larger) memory cards, my girlfriend need some bigger cards but I don't want to buy them only to find they won't work, and my cameras all use CF cards so the SD ones will be useless otherwise.

yes it does,i used a kingston 8gb sdhc card in the 450d i used to own

I have uses an eyefi pro X2 in my 450D and a sandisk 8GB extreme in there.

Yes. I use the 8gb sdhc cards in mine ... no problem.

I use 8gb in my 400D so would certainly expect the 450D to be happy with them.

FYI I have a Transcend 16Gb which I use with no probs in my 450D, as well as an 8Gb & a 4Gb.

As long as it's a SD HC card, it'll be fine.
Watch out as the new SD XC cards are starting to appear in the shops. These are generally in the 32Gb - 2Tb size range and won't work in the 450D.
