Yes
I'm thinking of buying the Yongnuo YN-560 and need rechargeable batteries.
The eneloops are very common but how about the uniross (HYBRIO) , which one is more suitable for flash in terms of recycling time, heat, holding a charge etc.?
Is a higher mAh better? Is 2100mAh better or worse than 2700mAm for flash purposes(yes, I know higher mAh means more running time).

Higher is better to a point for recycle time. I use eneloop and 7dayshop good to go or 2800's.

Sorry, all good to go ones are around 2100, I think. They're great for holding charge. Normal Nimh's can be more powerful but don't hold charge so long.

Most would prefer eneloop but unicross one has got good rep as well. And to confuse you more, the gp recyko is also not too bad. Do a search and you will know more.

I find eneloops last longer than any other rechargeable battery and would now not use anything else except in an emergency (and only 'cos I've a few NiMH left over).

I believe many of the other newbrid batteries are just rebranded Sanyo (a super geeky American chap told me so) so I guess any of those would be just as good.

It depends how important recycle time is to you, but the 560 is so fast it makes sense to just the eneloop's.

I use eneloops on my canon 580 and Nissin Di 622 flashes, great batteries.

Even better 7 day shop are currently selling 4 with a charger for £7.99!! delivered!! I bought two and plan on doubling up as soon as I can

eneloops all the way, here. Use them and they're great in keeping charge, recharge time, and recharge cycle.

eneloops/hybrios/7dayshop 'good to go'/panasonic infiniums, they're all the same really... my main usage ones are branded, spares are all 7ds ones - though I can't tell any difference between them.
