Best buy for the battery and charger please?

3rd party is fine, in no rush but I've acquired an mb-10 that'll take same, so I might as well add that battery to the arsenal at some time.

Same here Amazon have plenty with great reviews, I picked up two third party ones from a local store that was closing down, have never had any problems and they hold charge as well as the "official" ones.

Currently using DSTE branded EN-EL4a batteries with the Nikon MH21 charger, batteries lasting well so far in both my D2x and D300/MB-D10 combo.

A good reason to use EN-EL4a over 8xAAs - weight, or balance strictly speaking, the extra weight of the 8xAAs make the camera hideously unbalanced in my opinion.
