No
Hi all

I am fairly sure that previous emails sent from a particular email address that included images on the email arrived AOK .

However, a recipient of a recent email said there were no images in the email. I have only just checked if the issue was their end, by sending the same email to another address of mine

It arrived missing the images!!!! The images were all sized down for emailing and total IIRC was approx 1.5 MB

Has anyone else experienced such an issue and if so do you recall what the issue was and how you resolved it?

TIA

I've known this when using quite severe privacy settings either on my client machine or at the server level at work - on one occasion, no XLS or ZIP files allowed, and some doc files that contained macros.

Hmmm? I will have to send a support question to the company that handles my SMTP service for that email address.

That's strange.

I normally send a cloud link instead if files are over 1mb

What software are you using?
If you mean the email client, I am using MS Outlook 2007

As I said, this is not the first time IIRC that I have sent an email via that email address with an image or two in the message. Though possibly not for a while?

Google search shows past problems with Microsoft 365 removing attachments at recipient end.

I have just tried to send the same email to myself again and it came through with the files......

None too sure what was happening now???

PS I sent them again to the recipient via WeTransfer, though they are yet to download them.

Could it be a setting at the recipient’s end ( not when you send it to yourself)?

At best this is badly outdated, at worst - a security risk. Anything can happen here
