For my upcoming debut as a runway photographer
, I thought I would email a couple of established runway photographer and ask for some advice and also if they could recommend any books. I actually got a reply back with some advice:
Have to say, I'm very chuffed to have got a response and I know one of you lot is going to come along and say, it was probably one of his PA's with a stock reply :razz:

(Better than the reply from Nigel Barker - it was along the lines of , thanks for your email, why don't you check out his blog :razz:
)
Hi Kelly
There are really no runway books that teach it. Runway Madness by Lucien Perkins captured his work and is over ten years old.
Generally speaking...treat a runway show like an indoor sports event...70-200mm f 2.8 lens if possible, 400-800 ISO, fast shutter speeds to stop action and shoot available light if possible.
Good luck,
Randy
