As I have gotten it into my head that I want to have the full 52, I'm gonna post weeks 1-8 in this topic. slight change of rules:

- Can be old picture, timing is not important
- To add to the challenge (and because I paid good money to PSE and still don't know how to use it) each picture most have post processing in PSE other then typical brightness, saturation, etc.... (al viewers have exclusive rights to comment on meeting this challenge )
- I have to follow the order of weeks

Entry for week 1 - Curves

Postprocessing: created duplicate layer, used smartbrush to convert to BW and then reverse the conversion on the painted twirls on the girls face.

OK for poetry. as I am not big on poetry, but am a fervent music lover, I have let myself be inspired by She by Elivis Costello.

As an extra challenge today, I tried to make a tryptich. Am not overly happy, but have learned a great deal about PSE yet again. The original plan was to get three shots of a newborn, but our first was shot using film, so that was not really an option.

Hope you like this take, and any advice on the tryptich making is more then welcome!

Like the first shot, good use of selective b&w and exactly the same way and result as I would have got, (and that's with years of PS use and experience). I may have also burnt the background a bit to make it a touch darker, or even given it a bit more blur to POP to subject but that's getting picky.

For the tryp a few points:

The images aren't the same size or aligned corrently, the word on the top right is cut off and the words on the bottom line are slightly under the images. Not massive issues and easily fixed but if I've learn't anything with graphic design it's that everything has to be pixel perfect otherwise it just looks a bit 'messy'

Other than all that, good start and carry on learning! HTH
