Hi All,

I have recently come across these, Elinchrom D-Lite RX One, whilst looking for a 2nd speed lite, and would like to know if anyone owns/used/come across one.

I have now also come across the Interfit EX400 Ti 2 Head Kit, which does not cost that much more but am not too sure of Interfit quality.

Or if anyone can recommend another budget kit around £350-£400, will be much appreciated.

It will be mainly be for home studio portraits single/couples but allowing larger groups if and when required.

Many Thanks

Saul.

Yes, and they're excellent - very small and light, high spec, relatively fast flash durations, and enough power for home studio portraits - solo and couples. Probably pushing it for larger groups though.

Hi Richard,

Thank you for the feedback, has certainly pushed me in the right direction. Have you tried using these outdoors by any chance?

I was hoping they would be good enough, should I wish to purchase a D-lite 4 RX at a later stage.

No, not used them outdoors.

As a general rule, and assuming you mean outdoors in daylight, then you need plenty of power. The D-Lite Ones will probably struggle (about the same output as a decent hot-shoe gun) and certainly won't be powerful enough in bright sun. You need at least 400Ws to have a good chance there, and the more the better really.
