Elements V4 Organiser funny

Carrying on from my earlier thread, I have now installed Elements V4 and the pukka 30D raw viewer.

Ive downloaded todays photos onto my computer and i have started Elements up, being taken to the Organizer. I get a screen which i eventually get to show me all the photos i have taken today. However, if i select one image or go to single image view, my image disapears and is replaced by a black image/void. This always happens when i select one image and occasionally happens when im have multiple thumbnails - the thumbnails starts off with the image but the software then slowly blacks each one out.

Ive no idea whats going on, the image is still there, but the software wont show it. Anybody got any ideas?

Sorry I missed this post Howard, I'm not going to be much help to you except to say don't bother with the organiser in E4, it seems to be one of those things tacked on to give 'added value'. I've only tried to use it a couple of times and it took a dogs age to load up all the images, so long I cancelled it. If you want some software that you can use to catalogue/show/orgainse your images go for one of the third party offerings (cam2pc is quite nice)

Thanks Steep. Having gone to another site (shame on me!) I have been informed that its a 'feature' of the software. Others have reported the same issue and apparantly Adobe know of it. Seems to be related to the image file size.

I wanted to use Organizer to look at my raw images and then start to make changes from within the editor. I'm all but sure now that i will use Bibble to view RAW and makes initial changes, saving in TIFF, before doing further work in Elements. (In another thread i was advised to use RSE, but having played with it over the weekend the user interface is not to my liking, so its back to Bibble.)
