elements 7 question

I've just inherited Photoshop Elements 7 and a " Brilliant" series Elements 6 to go with it. My question is this, am I OK to use the "6" book, or should I try and get a "7", or would I be wasting money as I only need to do basic editing.

the 6 book should show you virtually everything that 7 can do. I use elements 9 and I can follow most tutorials - they're pretty generic :thumbs:
