Elements 6, 7 or other?

I am gradually finding myself more and more frustrated with PSP X2, mainly due to the fact it can't handle my cameras RAW files striaght off. Not only that, I dont like its interface.

So I thought I would download the trail of elements 6 from adobe. Can I get to it? no! all seraches take me to their page about the release of elements 7, which is yet to be released in the UK.

Basically I am after a trial to see if I like elements, and if I do, shal I try and get 6 on the cheap now its "old" or wait and pay a little more for 7?
 
Can't comment on the PSE6 v 7. It depends what you want to do but 6 is pretty good.

Have you thought about trialling lightroom? If it is RAW processing, levels / sats adjustment and sharpening then Lightroom is really good.
 
I have but the cost of lightroom is too much for me right now. I am really after a replacement for PSP. Elements fits my budget.
