Think I will stick with PSE 15, as can already move someone or thing out of the way, plus open eyes is not for me either.

Only upgraded to PSE 15 (from PSE 11) a year ago, so not planning to upgrade again for a while. May get LR6 soon though as 5.7 won't import RAW files from the missus' new 80D.

Not tried yet, but I've read that the dng converter should work. Thanks for the heads up.

Officially no (and I haven't checked version 15), but there was a way to get 16-bit layers in version 11. Would need to refresh my memory on how to do it though.
