Elemants 9 Organizer really slow. Program or PC

Elements 9 Organizer takes an age to do anything, or crashes. Images take ages to go unpixleated, it keeps wanting to refresh folders in the folders view, and going through RAWs takes soooo long I put it off and am filling up my external HD. It is sometimes quicker to loaded into adobe raw than wait for the image to load in organizer. I've got canons own software but as I use PSE9 for editing organizer is easier to load from, rate etc..... if it wasnt so damn slow.

My PC is about 2 years old, has an i5 processor, 12gb ram, and a shiney new NVIDIA GTX660 2GB DDR5 PCI-E Graphics Card.
