electric light bulb no cable attached

Can anyone tell me whether Photoshop tricks are used to get
an electric bulb brightly lit with the hot filament showing and no cable attached.
Sorry, I have no example.

I've not idea, but I'd have thought it'd be easier to clone the cable out rather thn use an effect to 'light' the bulb?

Have a look at these (using a flourescent, but an incandescent is the same in principle)..

No photoshoppery required. But you're probably not going to manage this with a phone camera.

Safer to try this with a miniature 12V bulb and a battery power supply.
