After 6 years of light amateur use a problem. Camera 30D; I get an Error 99
when I shoot using the EFS17-85 lens at 17 to 24 focal lengths in all shooting modes. No problem at 35 FC upwards. No problem with 70-300 IS lens. It works ok on my 24-85 EF lens at the 24 focal length. It works when I use the pop up flash at the 17 and 24 focal lengths.I've carried out cleaning the lens contacts,etc. This Error 99 seems to cover a whole multitude of malfunctions but in my case it does seem its the lens, any ideas.
